CH801
Slow, ugly, and rather slow.
Moving to the garage

Used a laser level to make sure the saw horses were set properly. The skin is on 1x1 steel squares under each longeron

Tied some 14 gauge electrical wire to the rafters to make some hangers - keept the sides vertical quite nicely.

Nice

?

This is pretty much where I had it on the basement big-a$$ table. But here I've added more of the under-seat structure.

Carmen helped with some of the riveting of the side skins to the bottom longeron (solid rivets!). It's not that I have anything against the blind rivets - I just wanted to give this a try and this seemed a good spot in the project to do it. If anyone asks - the flush rivets onthe skins are so the plane goes faster!

USed some straps to lift up the reas fuse a tad off of the cradle so the front cabin could slide in there somewhat easily.

Manual says this should be 4 deg

Supposed to be zero (taken just ahead of the front seat channel). I could get it to read 0.1 in the other direction by barely touching one end of the level - but it seemed it was always 0.1 up or 0.1 down and never 0.0. The bubble on the level looked perfect.

Supposed to be 74.0. Measurements ranged from 73.8 to 74.1 depending on location (top to bottom).

DO NOT put a hole near the longeron along this rivet line until AFTER things are all cleco'd together. See that second rivet from the top? Well, it knicked the bottom of the longeron when I drilled it. I was just so excited I guess that I was not thinking.
